Up Front
The best is yet to come

With all the excitement over the holidays, celebrations with family and friends and our recent sponsorship of health kiosks featuring free blood-pressure testing at more than 100 trucking travel centers around the country (see the “Consider This” column on page 38), we almost overlooked the fact that 2007 marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of Pro Trucker magazine.
As many of you know, Pro Trucker is the sister publication of Over the Road. When OTR reached the 25-year milestone last year, we didn’t set off fireworks or throw any gala parties. Instead, we used the occasion to reflect on all of the people who have played a role in our success over the years—our talented staffers and salespeople, our loyal advertisers and our dedicated readers.
We take particular pride in the fact that, like a lot of truck carriers, we are a family owned and operated business. My wife (Penny), son (Andy), daughter (Jenny) and sister-in-law (Cheryl Samet) have all joined me in this journey.
While we are proud of what Over the Road and Pro Trucker have accomplished in the past, we are even more excited about the future as we strive to continue to deliver the best driver recruitment publications in the business. |
