MATS ready to roll out the welcome mat
What do you call one million square feet of exhibition space, more than one thousand exhibiting companies and an estimated 70,000 attendees, all members of the trucking industry, gathered in one place under one roof for three days in March? The Greatest Trucking Show on Earth.
The 36th Annual Mid-America Trucking Show, the largest trucking show in the world, will be held March 22-March 24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY. Equipment and services of every conceivable description, representing the most innovative technology and advanced developments in the industry, will be on display.
The bottom line: If you’re looking for anyone or anything that has something to do with the trucking industry—including a new job—chances are you’ll find it at MATS.
Speaking of new jobs, Over the Road and Pro Trucker magazines will once again sponsor the Recruitment Center at MATS. Representatives from more than 100 companies will be on hand at the Recruitment Center to answer your questions and discuss new driving opportunities. Whether you are just starting out or thinking about changing gears in mid-career, make a point of stopping by the Recruitment Center.
While you’re visiting the Recruitment Center, be sure visit the Over the Road and Pro Trucker booth located at the main entrance of the West Wing of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center. This year, the OTR and PT booth will be focused around the concept of “Healthy Trucker.” Nothing is more important than your health, so be sure to drop by and see how you can start living a healthier life.
Other special events that have become annual MATS attractions include:
• Paul K. Young Memorial Truck
Beauty Championship. Now in its 7th year, this “Stars & Stripes Event” is always a crowd-pleaser. Named in honor of the founder of The Mid-America Trucking Show, the championship will showcase more than 100 show trucks in 20 classes to determine the “Best of Show.”
• The Mid-America Internet & Technology Center. The center will present the most innovative technology available to the trucking industry in one centralized location, including: advanced Internet systems, Internet load posting, online recruiting, truck and trailer sales, road condition mapping systems and other resources, global positioning and freight tracking software, network systems and hardware, personal computers and laptops, in-cab CE devices and more.
• Seminar Program. MATS provide attendees with informative, constructive and trucking-oriented seminars. These seminars will provide invaluable information for companies, fleets and individuals. All seminars take place in the South Wing Conference Center, Room 101. Seminars are free-of-charge and do not require advance registration.
