Here’s to your health

“Well, at least I still have my health.” How many times have you heard someone mutter those words after they’ve lost something important, and how many of those same people take their health for granted until they no longer have it?

While we are obviously interested in improving the financial health of our readers through columns like “The Business of Trucking” and the hundreds of employment opportunities you can find inside each issue of Over the Road and Pro Trucker, we know that nothing is as important as your physical health. With that in mind, we’re now sponsoring “Healthy Trucker” information centers at more than 100 truck stops and travel plazas around the country. The specially designed kiosks include blood pressure machines and other valuable health information.

Healthy Trucker will be the theme of our booth at this year’s Mid-America Trucking Show, set for March 22-24 in Louisville. For more on MATS, see “Consider This” column on page 38. If you make it to MATS, drop by our booth at the main entrance to the West Wing and tell us what’s on your mind. If you’ve got two minutes, you can also check your blood pressure at one of our Healthy Trucker kiosks. As far as your health is concerned, it might be the best two minutes you ever spent.
