Roehl’s Steinbach succeeds at state, drives toward nationals.
Gerald Steinbach of Hixton, WI recently won first place in the 5-Axle Van Division of the 2007 Wisconsin Truck Rodeo. The win qualifies him for the national competition to be held in August. Steinbach is an over-the-road truck driver for Roehl Transport and a member of the company’s elite Truck Rodeo team.

West Side Transport announces Drivers of the Month
West Side Transport recognized its drivers of the month for January, February and March 2007 during the company’s safety meeting in May. Dale Chittick of Williamsburg, IA was honored as the January Driver of the Month, Thornton Dixon of Blackville, SC was picked for February and Troy Williams of Calvert, TX was saluted in March.

Ace Doran driver honored
James Mike Davis of Ace Doran Hauling and Rigging was named Truck Driver of the Year at the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s Annual Conference in San Antonio. Davis began his career in 1962 and drove for three other companies before joining Ace Doran as an owner-operator in 1982. He has accumulated well over five million miles without an accident.

Dart Transit Company names Contractors of the Month
Dart Transit Company announced the following Contractors of the Month: March—John Burk at the Dallas Operating Center and Don Moore at the Eagan Operating Center; April—Ron Swenson at the Dallas Operating Center and James Johnston at the Eagan Operating Center. Contractors of the Month are recognized for their on-time performance, dependability and safety record.

Trans-United, Inc. moves into expanded facility
Trans-United, Inc. celebrated the grand opening of its new 30,000 square-foot expanded facility with an open house in May. About 300 customers, drivers, family members and transportation industry leaders enjoyed BBQ and live music. The building has a spacious operations center, as well as a work-out room, full kitchen, conference room, orientation/ training room and a drivers lounge with men’s and women’s showers, Internet access, flat screen satellite television, laundry facilities and more.
Boyd Bros. sets the standard in Midwest
