Driven Women
Busted

The following is an email I received in response to the
Driven Women column, “Infidelity Not a Side Effect,” regarding a trucker’s cheating on his girlfriend, Geri T. She caught him in the act, and he denied it. Geri, this one’s for you: “Hi. Your article made me realize that when things like this happen, it affects so many people. What amazed me is that he would do that right under your nose. I felt like he wanted to get caught. The reason I say that is I was married to a terminal college student. I believed she was going to school to better herself and us as a family. WRONG! She was hooking up with teachers, both male and female, other students, and three of my neighbors, maybe more.
“I found out from her parents what was going on. I used their attorney to divorce her and then found out how many thousands she spent on partying with these people. I was faithful and devoted to her, believing it was mutual. What I am saying is not all long-haul drivers are dogs. A lot of us are family oriented and committed to our jobs and businesses.
“In the end, I am very happily married to a great woman, and I know I do what is right for my family. Your boyfriend, well, he got some of what he deserved. Keep the faith. There are good people who drive trucks for a living.”

Right on Jarhead! Keep up the good work at home and on the road.

P.S. The in-laws busted your wife and referred you to their attorney. Very cool!
