Driven Women
It’s a turn signal!

Dear GG—I’ve been on this road for over 20 years, and I don’t get it when four-wheelers don’t think we mean it when we use our turn signals! Do they think a truck’s turn signal means “Let me think about it, and I’ll let ya know?” Are they blind?
I was in the hammer lane looking to move to the right. The guy to my right, behind my truck, was going slow enough that I had plenty of room to move over. I turned on my right turn signal, and all of a sudden he found the gas pedal, and I nearly ran him over. Before I knew it, he was ahead of my tandems. He didn’t want me in front of him so he sped up!
“It’s a turn signal! I’m comin’ over!” That’s what I want flashing every time I use a turn signal.

Well, Sir, no argument here.
All across the country, authorities are cracking down on aggressive drivers, but no word on people who can’t drive. Is aggressive driving the real issue, or is it just bad driving? Could road rage be tied to impatience with the gross lack of driving skills on the road today?
Sir, do your best to anticipate the unexpected. Although you won’t be less annoyed, you’ll be less surprised. I’ve gotten to the point where I pray every time I get behind the wheel of any vehicle, especially my motorcycle. “God, give me the skill and patience not to do mental or physical harm to myself or anyone else.” So far, so good.
Keep all 18 rolling safely.
