Around 1960, I was running for a motor carrier out of Ontario, Canada. I pulled into a construction company with a load of fish I was concerned about and got them to check my weight. I was under on my gross by a few hundred pounds, but I was too heavy on my drives for this province. There was a restaurant down the line a couple miles before the scales, and I was due for some lunch anyway, so I motored on. more
