Happy Truckin’ New Year
Dear GG—HI found your article purely by accident. I’m really glad I did because now I have someone to voice my complaint to. I find it insulting and infuriating that truckers nearly hang themselves out the window to get a good, long look at me. I feel as though I’m driving past mobile x-ray machines! Not to mention that
they’re doing this at over 60 m.p.h. more.
Murphy's World
All Hands, No Smarts
Dear Murphy,

When we got on the freeway, the brakes on our trailer started smoking. We crawled back to the truck stop and called the mechanic back, but he refused to come out. He had not fixed all of our brake lines. We drove a distance of 150 miles with no trailer brakes.
After three tense hours, we made it to our depot. When we got out of the cab, we discovered that our reefer was not working. There was one bright side to the story, and it was the truckers who put out the fire. more.
