Retiring from the Marine Corps after 20 years of proudly serving this great country, Scott Franke decided he wanted to travel it. Six years later and still sporting a high and tight haircut, Franke is enjoying a second career as a professional driver. Murphy's World
I was taking a break from produce and thought I would try some end-dump hazardous work. My day started at the load site at four in the morning, and none of the paperwork was right. The truck scales on my tractor seemed to tell me my weight was good, but the on-site scales showed heavy. I took it anyway. more

Driven Women
I took a quick break at a Colorado truckstop recently, and it turned into a two-hour debate. In addition to me, three drivers and the truckstop manager engaged in a discussion about what we believed to be the most common addictive substances used by drivers.
