Dart’s Joyce Jordan honored by trucking association

Eagan , Minnesota – Joyce Jordan, Executive Vice President of Dart Transit Company and Chief Operating Officer of Dart’s Dallas Texas Operating Center , is the first woman to receive the Texas Motor Carrier Association’s Leadership Award.

Announced in March, the award recognizes her leadership in the trucking industry and many years of service to the TMTA, where she has actively promoted the trucking industry and the association. She will be honored with a luncheon at the TMTA Annual Conference on July 27 in San Antonio , Texas .

Ms Jordan “has been involved in all phases of the association, serving as chair of several committees and currently serves on the Executive Committee,” said Ronnie Murphy as he announced the award. Mr. Murphy received the award last year. Ms. Jordan is a member of the TMTA Chairman’s Circle, and she has taken the lead on the TMTA’s image campaign and many other community and industry activities.

She has capably served Dart in several executive capacities since joining the company in 1987.
