Melton Truck Lines Places at Oklahoma Truck Driving Championship

 

Melton Driver Sammy Belvin takes First Place in Flatbed Division

 

 

Tulsa, OK-Melton Truck Lines driver Sammy Belvin took first place at the Oklahoma Truck Driving Championship on Saturday, June 3 in Oklahoma City, OK. In August 2006, Belvin will represent Melton and the State of Oklahoma and compete in the National Championship in New Orleans.

 

Five Melton drivers competed in the 2006 Oklahoma Truck Driving Championships.  The Melton team included: John Johnson, Lloyd Cruz, Sammy Belvin, Shawn Panther, and Ken Phillips.  Previous Melton first place winners include: Alton Jackson, Richard Baringer, Ronnie French, and Pete Tyler.

 

Russ Elliott, Melton Vice President of Safety says, “We are very proud of Sammy and look forward to him representing both Melton and the State of Oklahoma in the flatbed division at the National Championship competition in New Orleans.”
