Prime Inc Has Found Success in Missouri
Prime Inc. wins more trophies, because two of its drivers have won trophies, at the 39th Annual Missouri Motor Carriers Association's State Trucking Driving Championships, which were held June 9th – 10th at the John Q. Hammonds Trade Center in Joplin, Mo. With a total of 191 drivers competing, Prime Inc. was proudly represented by 10 of those drivers.
The first place trophy went to Thomas Miller, in the sleeper berth class, and the second place trophy, went to Duane Grimme, in the tank truck class. Because of his first place trophy, Mr. Miller will be representing both Prime Inc. and the State of Missouri at the 2006 ATA National Truck Driving Championships, later this summer in New Orleans, LA.
In order to qualify for the driving championships, drivers must be accident-free for the previous year. The skills tests at the event are broken up into the following classes: straight truck, three axle, four axle, five axle, tank truck, flatbed truck, sleeper berth, and twin trailers. They are also judged by law enforcement officers, on their appearance, industry knowledge, and attitude, according to the Commercial Carrier Journal (CCJ) Magazine.
