ACS’ TripPak SERVICES™ ADDS SCANNING STATIONS AT TRAVEL CENTERS OF AMERICA FOLLOWING EXPANDED CONTRACT AWARD
BRENTWOOD , TENNESSEE : October xx, 2006 -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), a premier provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions, announced today that it has been awarded an expanded contract with Travel Centers of America (TA) to provide multi-service TripPak SCANNING stations. Financial details were not disclosed.
Under the terms of the expanded contract, ACS’ TripPak SERVICES has converted 70 of their 159 TripPak SCANNING stations to multi-service units to increase convenience to drivers. With ACS TripPak Truck Stop SCANNING™, drivers can scan their trip documents, receive confirmation and deliver the information to their companies within minutes.
According to TA’s Non-Fuel Programs Manager Bob Mahoney, the change to multi-service scanning is welcomed by drivers. “With both self-service and cashier-assisted units, drivers don’t have to wait behind fuel transactions, nor do drivers waiting on fuel transactions have to wait behind scanning customers,” says Mahoney. “It’s more convenient for everyone.”
“These multi-service locations are either self-serve or cashier-assisted based on the needs of individual drivers,” says Kelley Walkup, ACS’ Divisional Vice President for TripPak SERVICES. “More choices at TAs means greater flexibility and satisfaction.
